MEMES THAT MATTER
CONVERSATIONS THAT COUNT

is conceived as a social artwork that explores visual metaphors as a catalyst for meaningful conversations, for content beyond the politics of opinion, for creative responses. Our fortnightly meet-ups aim to create  a  field of collective enquiry in which imagination and intellect collaborate to make sense of the world.

Each session will last an hour and explore a socially relevant topic through the lens of a particular meme. Each meet-up consists of

n

  • Introduction to the meme

  • Conversation in small breakout groups

  • Sharing and closure

DATE    every second Tuesday, starting on 06 May 2025

TIME    7-8 am or 6-7 pm  (Australian Western Standard Time)

COST    by donation

Memes that Matter is inspired by Joseph Beuys' idea of society as an artwork and its conceptual underpinnings, the transpolar politics known as social three-folding, conceived by Rudolf Steiner. It endeavours to promote the universally human stance in times of extreme polarisation and machine intelligence.
